Calvin Osborne

Attorney

Calvin L Osborne is of Counsel with Walton Law Group focusing on real estate matters. He is the lead real estate attorney for the firm and has more than 20 years in the real estate industry.
As an Associate Director at the Executive Office of the Mayor of Washington, DC, Mr. Osborne wrote real estate legislation and influenced policy at the U.S. House of Representatives and U.S. Senate, managed land acquisitions, and served as Chief Lobbyist for land transactions and natural resources. He successfully authored legislation for acquisition of RFK stadium, Franklin Park, and Rock Creek Park Tennis Center while serving the District of Columbia.

Mr. Osborne began his career as a Judicial Law Clerk in the 16th Judicial Circuit of Missouri. Early in his career, he was a real estate Litigation Associate at the large midwestern law firm in Kansas City, Missouri. Subsequently, Mr. Osborne worked as Senior Counsel in the Complex Litigation Section for the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation disposing of distressed Real Estate Owned by insolvent financial institutions. Mr. Osborne practiced as an attorney and Associate Director at the DC Public Service Commission and Federal Communications Commission, respectively, focusing on telecommunications and small businesses. Mr. Osborne is licensed to practice law in Maryland, Missouri, and the District of Columbia.
In 2005, Mr. Osborne founded and operated as Chief Executive Officer of Potomac Realty Company, a Limited Liability Company engaged in the acquisition and development of single family, vacation, and multi-family properties located in Oklahoma, Texas, Florida, North Carolina and Maryland. Mr. Osborne is currently an Associate Broker at Samson Properties, representing clients in various real estate transactions, including distressed properties. He studies market trends, real estate property, and neighborhood life cycles to be an effective real estate professional. He is also licensed to practice real estate in Maryland and the District of Columbia.

Mr. Osborne earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Management from William Jewell College in Liberty, Missouri and a Juris Doctorate from University of Missouri in Kansas City. He is currently working on a Masters in Real Estate from Harvard Extension School. He is a civil war reenactor and is a member of Company B of the 54th Massachusetts Civil War Reenactors in Washington DC. He lives in the Washington DC area with his wife and has two daughters and a grandson. Mr. Osborne is the author of a novel entitled “Contraband Hearts,” a civil war love story published by Purpose Publishing in 2025.
